We are delighted when Murphy the Dog visits the library, where he happily listens to children read aloud to him! Reading to a dog gives kids a chance to practice their reading skills with a friendly, nonjudgmental audience — a great setting for anxious readers. Each child gets a fifteen-minute session with Murphy; please register for just one slot.

Remember to bring books that your child would like to read to Murphy, or arrive a few minutes early to choose books from our collection; please also help your child follow the instructions from Murphy's owner, and don't worry if the 15-minute slot proves too long for your child and you have to leave early.
