Love in Metal: Abraham Megerdichian Machined Metal Miniatures

Join us in-person for a talk on the life and metal art of Abraham Megerdichian.

His son Robert will “speak with” his deceased father about Abraham’s hobby of machining solid scrap metal into his interpretations of everyday objects.

You can also check out displays of some of those items and photos throughout the library from January 9th until February 23rd.

The Snow Date for this event will be January 24th.

Abraham was a Navy sailor, avid gardner, stamp collector, promoter of Armenian culture and language, bicyclist around Fresh Pond, and machinist. Abe machined from solid scrap metal his hundreds of interpretations of everyday objects. He gave them to family and friends as gifts from the 1950s until his passing in 1983. Abe's ar has been exhibited throughout New England and beyond.
